The Brisbane Chapter |
| The Brisbane chapter was formed in January 2001 when the MX-5 Club of Queensland, which was formerly Brisbane-based, opted to form local chapters to better serve the needs of MX-5 owners living in the Darling Downs, Sunshine Coast, and Gold Coast areas. Brisbane-based runs extend South to Canungra, West to Toowoomba, and North to Palmview on the Sunshine Coast.
The Brisbane chapter conduct their runs on the second Sunday of each month (unless otherwise specified).

The Darling Downs Chapter |
| The Darling Downs chapter of the MX-5 Club of Queensland was formed in 2006.
The chapter meets on the first Sunday of each month at 8:00 am for breakfast at the Highland Fling Restaurant, 226-288 James Street, Toowoomba. Other runs are normally held on the third Sunday of each month (unless otherwise specified).

The Gold Coast Chapter |
| The Gold Coast chapter was formed in January 2001 to better cater to the needs of MX-5 Club of Queensland members from the Gold Coast area. The areas covered include South to Alstonville, West to Boonah, and North to Brisbane.
Gold Coast events are conducted on the fourth Sunday of the month (unless otherwise specified).

The Sunshine Coast Chapter |
| The Chapter was formed in January 2001 to better cater for the needs of 40 or more MX-5 Club of Queensland members in the area. The area is roughly bounded by Caboolture to Maryborough and West to Kilcoy.
The Sunshine Coast Chapter conduct their runs on the first Sunday of each month (unless otherwise specified). These runs usually end up at a picnic area or a restaurant. In the hotter months, these social drives may be held earlier in the day (breakfast run) or in the cool of the evening (twilight run). At least twice a year, the Sunshine Coast Chapter joins with the Brisbane Chapter on a combined drive, and, once a year, we get together again for a weekend away.
